FEB reply to the public consultation of the European Commission on taxation problems

The European Commission has hold a public consultation on taxation problems in case of cross-border dividend distributions to portfolio shareholders and individual investors and possible solutions. The Commission would like to draw on the expertise and experience of all parties interested in commenting on cross-border dividends tax issues and possible solutions. All stakeholders - individuals, companies, Member States, tax administrations, intergovernmental, non-governmental and business organizations, tax practitioners and academia - were asked for their view on problems that arise with regard to the taxation of cross-border dividends paid to portfolio- and individual investors in the EU.
